Structural Joinery Ltd is a small company based in the village of Lacey Green in Buckinghamshire.
We specialise in designing and manufacturing green oak trusses and frames, although we cover all aspects of structural carpentry and joinery, roofs, framing and cladding.
Whether the job be engineered oak trusses for a new build project, a careful repair or renovation of an historic building or creating a bespoke garden shelter, we have the experience, the knowledge and the enthusiasm to work with you and develop your ideas into a beautiful and functioning reality.
Structural Joinery Limited was founded and is directed by Andrew Hamilton. Although officially a fledgling company, Andrew is an established and passionate carpenter with 20 consecutive years of experience. Since attaining a City and Guilds apprenticeship in 1993, Andrew immediately set out as a self employed craftsman which over the following years led to a broad education in many aspects of carpentry.
From large new build estates to kitchen fitting, local authority work, window installation, pitched roofs, general building, project management, and historic restorations, forming many good relationships with other like-minded craftsmen along the way.
Although these many experiences have all been invaluable attributes, Andrew's real passion and interest has always been in producing structures from timber; neat workmanship combined with strength and focus on longevity. The following years became more focussed on this aspect which has resulted in many high quality green oak projects and a broad knowledge. There was now a strong enough foundation on which to start a registered company, Structural Joinery Limited.
